Position Overview: The Talent Development Manager is responsible for assisting in the formulation and implementation of the company’s talent development strategy. This role involves designing and executing various training and development programs to enhance employee capabilities and support the achievement of company business objectives. The manager will work closely with the HR team and other departments to ensure that talent development plans meet both organizational and employee needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute Human Capital Strategy

  • Collaborate with the HR Director to implement the company’s talent development strategy
  • Ensure alignment of talent development plans with overall company objectives
  • Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of talent development programs and propose improvements

Training Program Management

  • Identify employee development needs and design corresponding development plans
  • Design, organize, and implement various training courses, including new employee onboarding, skill enhancement, and management training
  • Manage training budgets and resources
  • Assess training effectiveness, collect feedback, and continuously optimize training content

Talent Management

  • Establish an internal talent pool and improve talent mobility management within the company (including policies and systems for employee transfers, expatriate assignments, etc.).
  • Establish and continuously refine employee career development pathways, and establish corresponding talent evaluation systems.
  • Implement and improve the company’s talent review mechanism, and be responsible for the company’s succession planning.

Performance Management

  • Optimizing the company’s performance management processes
  • Provide performance management training and guidance to managers
  • Support the implementation of annual performance evaluations
  • Conduct employee surveys focused on development needs and career aspirations; handle other ad-hoc matters related to talent development and employee growth.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Education, Psychology, or related fields (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in HR or training and development roles
  • Practical experience in designing and implementing training programs
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic data analysis skills and proficiency in common office software
  • Budgeting skills
  • Fluency in both Chinese and English (French is an asset)

Compensation and Benefits:

The hiring range for this position ranges from CA$60,000 – CA$80,000. Your actual level and salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.
